The rapidly-spreading infectious disease known as Covid-19 has created a global debacle which triggered the creation of specialised language to reflect new situations that have suddenly become part people's lives. goal present investigation is describe linguistic innovations entered lexicon Englishes across globe. This corpus-based study aimed at describing meanings and word-formation processes trending pandemic-related revitalised newly-formed compounds blends in L1 L2 English varieties. findings current clearly displayed lasting effects pandemic are left indelibly lexical introduced language. Not all words will permanent word stock any given variety. However, long-lasting implications COVID-19, documenting nature upheaval during its contribution vocabulary first second varieties utmost importance.
